3 more days to Nicaragua #4

Im headed back to Nicaragua in 3 days with Mr. Clint Stelfox. This time around it is more of a pleasure trip rather than for the kids. A few days on the crystal clear pacific coast should clear one’s mind.

In celebration Iv’e posted some old photo’s and a video from last December/Jan.

                                                                                                                                                                :me and my traveling hermana:

15 days and a mixed bag of feelings.

india is getting to me. getting to me in the best and worst ways. i’m recovering from what was the worst sickness my sturdy body has ever known. with travel to a plethora of 3rd world countries (and 2nd, respectively) , never ever has my body yearned for good health. the doctors here tell me that if i were in the states i would have been hospitalized for severe hydration. still i go on filming, like the soldier i am.

aside from health issues, i have no quarrel with Delhi. the shopping in the markets is crucial. the footage looks great. iv’e gained great new friends, learned many a new thing, and fallen in love with the tiny beggar children on my block. they see me coming and their faces light up, as I suppose I have been their greatest source of fresh hot food for the last 2 weeks.

i traveled to Jaipur days after terrorist bombings, where i laid eyes on some of the most beautiful dry earth scenery’s, and spent time with rescued child laborers. hearing these young ones stories shed light to the fact that this world is full of evil evil people. human trafficking, physical, and sexual exploitation of women and children is far too prevalent in some part’s of the world, including ours! when you see the tears from these children’s eye’s, listen to their stories, you can’t help but long for change. these people: http://www.actionaidindia.org/what_we_do.htm, are literally conducting raids, pulling children off of the streets and into a means of education and wellness. something to think about?

3 days into India.

love it. love it. im 3 days into my journey through india. im filming and directing the still yet to be titled documentary of the lives, culture, and relationships of maimed beggars, and their beggar masters.

arrived to smiles and flowers.

the people look at me like im a celebrity. i always considered myself a “brownie” but here im just another “white-skin”.

my crew is great. i look pretty cool walking around with my 5 person crew including my very own security detail. :)

the colors here are beautiful on film. the sights and people are unlike anywhere else i have traveled. truely a unique place. im in love with how all of the footage looks. as well i am in love with the first group of “beggars” that i have had the privelage of filming, meeting, and learning from.
